While I agree with much of this, I have to say that that many times the people who complain about their voting options are people who have that right already. I was 17 when we were protesting against the Vietnam war. The voting age was 21 and we were on the verge of being drafted. Our thoughts were … if you’re old enough to die for your country, you ought to be able to vote for the people who were sending you off to fight. And by the time I was 18, we won the right to vote. Clowns or no clowns, I’ve rarely missed the opportunity to cast my ballot even in local elections.
